Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant opens 1 bottom spillway gate

To ensure the safety of people and property when the reservoir releases floodwaters, the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of provinces and cities to focus on implementing the following contents:

Immediately notify authorities at all levels, people, organizations operating on rivers and along rivers; aquaculture facilities on rivers, water transport vehicles; ferry terminals; review and ensure safety of construction works under construction; production and business activities, sand and gravel exploitation activities to know information about flood discharge from Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir to proactively take preventive measures to ensure safety of people and property.

Direct relevant agencies and units to coordinate with the reservoir owner to find solutions to ensure safety for curious people approaching the flood discharge viewing area; promptly report and propose solutions to handle unusual situations that may occur during the flood discharge process to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
