This year, workers across the country will have a 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, from Saturday (August 31) to Tuesday (September 3). Therefore, network operators have prepared plans early to best serve the needs of mobile users during the September 2, 2024 holiday.

In order to ensure communication security and service quality for customers during the September 2nd holiday, VNPT Group has reviewed the entire communication system and is ready to expand and increase the capacity of the systems to meet the service needs of customers during the holiday.

Regarding network capacity, VNPT has reviewed and improved network quality in areas predicted to have high concentrations of people such as bus stations, resorts, shopping malls, etc., deployed additional technical solutions to upgrade the configuration of 37 existing stations, and implemented mobile broadcasting at 23 locations.

In particular, since the beginning of this year, VNPT has deployed 4,000 additional BTS stations to improve service quality, ready to meet the increased demand of customers during the holidays.

All of VNPT's communication systems have been built, ensuring backup and ready with plans so that any incidents can be handled quickly. VNPT has also deployed a plan for on-call personnel to be ready to handle situations that arise before, during and after the holidays.

Speaking with VietNamNet, a Viettel representative said that in preparation for the National Day holiday on September 2, Viettel Networks Corporation has added 1,000 capacity enhancement solutions, including 50 new BTS stations, 20 mobile broadcasting vehicles, 60 additional “small cells” and 870 new “cells” (network cells).

Viettel Networks has completed reviewing, upgrading, optimizing, and ensuring tools and software for monitoring, managing network operations and exploitation, ensuring system load during holidays meets twice the demand compared to normal days.

Accordingly, the network performance management system (NPMS) has been upgraded to reduce incident response time to 15-30 minutes (before optimization it was 45 minutes - 1 hour). Network management and monitoring systems such as GEO, ZDT, EBS, Datamon, Csmon have all completed testing and optimizing big data infrastructure, ensuring that only less than 90% of computing and storage capacity is used, helping the network operate more efficiently and stably.

Viettel has also proactively adjusted the technical parameters of the 2G/3G network and redistributed data traffic in the 4G network to prevent overload, keeping the 4G network operating stably.

Compared to previous years, Viettel has actively deployed the AI coverage optimization tool (XO) to help improve coverage by 10%, speed by 5% and improve about 10% of general KPI indicators.

MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation said that the unit has prepared technical solutions and improved network quality to ensure a stable and smooth network during the National Day holiday on September 2 this year.

In key areas where festivals and large crowds take place, MobiFone has conducted surveys, completed measurement and testing, assessed coverage quality, installed additional mobile stations, increased coverage, and expanded resources for 4G stations to ensure customer needs.

All devices on the MobiFone network have been tested to ensure high backup configuration to avoid network failures, network capacity and domestic and international transmission directions, ready for increased customer demand compared to normal days.

MobiFone has optimized and automated its network operations using machine learning and artificial intelligence. At the same time, the network operator has also made detailed plans and completed schedules for operations, information response, and incident reception and handling.

From turning mobile phones into affordable meals to the aspiration to develop Vietnam's digital economy , the "brave" spirit of the Information and Communications industry has been, is and will be a source of inspiration for breakthroughs, taking Vietnam further in the digital age.
