This is the first step in the plan to bring domestic flights of the National Airlines to operate at the new terminal - the most modern and largest in the country at present. Notably, flight VN1286 from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Don on April 17 of Vietnam Airlines will be the first commercial flight to operate at terminal T3 - marking an important milestone in the process of putting the new terminal into operation.
The conversion aims to provide a more convenient, faster and more comfortable experience for passengers. In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will continue to update the roadmap for transferring other domestic routes to Terminal T3 and will widely notify passengers through official channels.

To ensure a smooth journey, passengers are advised to carefully check the departure terminal information on their tickets, learn the T3 terminal map, arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their flight time, and prioritize using online check-in on the website, mobile application or at self-service kiosks at the airport.
It is expected that Vietnam Airlines will arrange check-in counters at Terminal T3 from number 56 to 109, along with 22 automatic check-in counters to help passengers save time and increase initiative.
Passenger terminal T3 has a total floor area of up to 112,500m², including 1 basement and 4 upper floors, scientifically and modernly arranged with 90 traditional check-in counters, 20 automatic baggage drop counters and 42 check-in kiosks.

Before putting terminal T3 into operation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just issued instructions related to the transfer of domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air to terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Accordingly, Tan Son Nhat International Airport is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and service units to unify the conversion plan, ensuring a smooth and convenient implementation process for passengers and airlines.
To help passengers clearly identify information and avoid going to the wrong terminal, the Civil Aviation Authority requires strengthening forms of guidance and communication such as: updating information on websites, mobile applications and other communication channels; at the same time, coordinating with ground service units to arrange more guidance personnel, especially in the initial phase of putting terminal T3 into operation, especially for connecting passengers.

Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air are required to step up communication to passengers about the move to Terminal T3. Airlines also need to have policies to support passengers in case of missed flights due to wrong terminal, and arrange staff to provide timely support, especially for the elderly, women and children.
Airlines are also responsible for developing plans to increase flights, add flights during off-peak hours or at night, to best meet people's travel needs; strictly comply with regulations on domestic airfares, monitor the activities of ticket agents, and ensure that prices are in accordance with regulations. At the same time, fully perform the obligations of the carrier when flights are canceled or delayed for a long time.
