The representative of the Tan Son Nhat Airport T3 Terminal Project Management Board said that the entire project has completed more than 65% of the work. Of which, the passenger terminal's rough concrete part has reached 100%; the architectural rough construction has reached 85%; the high-rise parking lot and non-aviation services have reached 100% of the rough concrete part and 75% of the architectural rough construction.

Inside Terminal T3, the massive architectural blocks have been completed by the contractor and are speeding up the installation of iron structures, glass walls and roofing in a rolling manner. According to the Prime Minister's request, this project must be put into operation and exploitation on April 30, 2025. To date, the contractor has basically completed the installation of the steel frame structure for the roof of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport with a volume of 3,000 tons. This is an important item that has been deployed since the end of May.

In addition to the passenger terminal construction, the T3 terminal project also has three important items including a high-rise parking garage combined with non-aviation services, a flyover system in front of the terminal, and an aircraft parking lot.

The electromechanical building has reached 100% of the raw concrete, the electromechanical construction has been 100% completed, and the equipment is currently being installed. The aircraft parking and overpass projects are expected to be completed by the end of February 2025.

In parallel with the construction of the structure, equipment and machinery systems are also being imported for installation according to the progress of each item. Items with large volumes including installation of air conditioning ducts, fire protection systems, and water supply and drainage systems have been installed at over 90% of the B2 floors of the commercial building, B1 floors and 1 passenger terminal.

The T3 passenger terminal construction project is invested by Vietnam Airports Corporation, with a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND. Construction time is 24 months from the commencement date. T3 terminal is designed with a capacity of 20 million passengers/year, 7,000 passengers/peak hour.

The terminal has a scale of 1 basement and 4 floors above ground, with a total construction floor area of ​​112,500m2. The terminal has a linear shape similar to the existing terminal, designed into two separate departure and arrival levels, with 90 traditional airline check-in counters, 20 automatic baggage drop-off backdrops and 42 check-in kiosks, 27 aircraft gates, 16 baggage handling islands, and 25 passenger security control gates.

The project also has a high-rise parking lot combined with non-aviation services, a complex of 2 basements, 4 above-ground floors and a 3-storey motorbike parking lot connected by a bridge corridor, with a total floor area of ​​130,000m2.
