After the match between Vietnam and Laos, Nguyen Xuan Son and his teammates went to the bus area to wait to return to the hotel. However, when many players of the away team had just arrived, the security force announced that they had… taken the wrong bus. Nguyen Xuan Son was surprised and somewhat confused when he could not get on the bus immediately. Later, he understood and informed the other players.

The Vietnamese team had to wait until the bus carrying the Lao team left before they could bring their necessary belongings onto the bus and return to rest.

In the second half, the situation changed when Hai Long scored the opening goal for the Vietnamese team. Quang Hai and Van Toan appeared, helping the Vietnamese team play much better. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team won 4-1 thanks to exploiting their opponents' mistakes.
