While overtaking, Binh saw a truck coming from the opposite direction so he turned the wheel to the right, hitting the left side of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club car. After the collision, the car got stuck in the front of the dump truck and then continued to hit the truck going in the opposite direction.
Mr. Phan Van Manh said the initial cause was determined to be the subjective error of driver Dinh Tien Binh when overtaking the vehicle in front.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Manh, all vehicles and drivers basically complied with the law. Based on the testimony and evidence collected, the investigation agency determined that the initial cause was that driver Dinh Tien Binh did not ensure the conditions for overtaking according to the provisions of Point 2, Article 4 of the Road Traffic Law. Thus, it can be seen that this was a subjective error when participating in traffic, especially on the part of the driver.

Also related to the accident, on the same day, the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Province also decided to temporarily detain driver Dinh Tien Binh (36 years old, residing in Chu Puh district, Gia Lai province), driving truck with license plate 81H-027.60 for showing signs of the crime of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".
Currently, the police are consolidating documents and evidence to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused for strict handling according to the provisions of law.
