Swimming bronze medal
Nguyen Huy Hoang finished third in the men's 800m freestyle final with a time of 7 minutes 51.44 seconds, winning the bronze medal. The gold and silver medals in this event went to Kim Woo-min (South Korea) and Fei Liwei (China), respectively.

Silver medal in athletics
Nguyen Van Khanh Phong won the silver medal in the rings event. The Vietnamese athlete scored 14.6 points, just behind the host representative Lan Xingyu. The Chinese athlete outperformed the rest with 15.433 points.
The Vietnamese sports delegation won 1 more silver medal from gymnastics.
Football
The Vietnamese women's team lost 0-7 to Japan in the final match, finishing second in the group. Due to the low goal difference, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are at risk of being eliminated. The Vietnamese team will only enter the quarterfinals if the Philippines draws with Myanmar or if the match between China and Uzbekistan has a difference of more than 11 goals.
Tran Mai Ngoc and Nguyen Thi Nga lost to the Indian team in the round of 16 of the women's doubles table tennis event.
Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien ranked 5th in the pommel horse final with a score of 14.766.
Boxing
Nguyen Minh Cuong was eliminated after losing to Zhang Jiamao (China). The boxing team still has Ha Thi Linh and Bui Phuoc Tung competing tonight.

Esports
The Vietnamese team beat Kyrgyzstan to enter the semi-finals of Dream Three Kingdoms 2. The League of Legends team lost to Taiwan (China) in the semi-finals and played against China for the bronze medal.
Pham Quang Huy was awarded nearly 800 million VND.
The Department of Sports and Physical Training awarded 400 million VND for each gold medal of ASIAD 19. In addition, Pham Quang Huy also received a bonus of 100 million VND from the National Sports Training Center. The Vietnam Shooting Federation awarded Pham Quang Huy a bonus of 100 million VND.
According to state regulations, athletes who win gold medals at the Asian Games are awarded 140 million VND. Thus, just winning the gold medal today (September 28) brought Pham Quang Huy 740 million VND.
Not only that, a few hours before winning the gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol individual event, the 1996-born shooter and his teammates Lai Cong Minh and Phan Cong Minh won the bronze medal in the team event and were awarded 55 million VND.

Ping pong
Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh and Nguyen Thi Nga were eliminated in the women's singles. Doan Ba Tuan Anh and Nguyen Anh Tu won against the Macao team (China), while Dinh Anh Hoang and Le Dinh Duc lost to the Taiwan team (China) in the men's doubles.
Vietnamese athletes will also compete in mixed doubles and men's singles this afternoon and evening.
Shooting gold medal
Pham Quang Huy defeated Lee Won-ho in the final knockout round. The Vietnamese shooter won the gold medal.
The shooting team completed the mission of winning the gold medal at the 19th ASIAD. This is the first gold medal of the Vietnamese delegation at the congress.

In the final, the athlete born in 1996 only ranked fourth in the first round of elimination. However, by the end of the fourth round, Pham Quang Huy took the lead with 160.8 points and maintained this position.
After eliminating all the opponents, the gold medal was a competition between Pham Quang Huy and Lee Won-ho (Korea). The Vietnamese shooter won with a difference of 1.1 points compared to his opponent.
Shooting
Pham Quang Huy is certain to win a medal in the men's 10m air pistol individual event. The Vietnamese shooter competes with Lee Won-ho (South Korea) and Svechnikov Vladimir (Uzbekistan).
Swim
Pham Thi Van and Nguyen Hoang Khang failed to qualify for the men's and women's 50m butterfly events.
Pham Thanh Bao unfortunately missed the final round when he finished 9th in the qualifying round, less than half a second behind the 8th-placed athlete.
The men's 4x100m freestyle relay team was also eliminated. So tonight, only Nguyen Huy Hoang will compete in the swimming final.
Bronze medal in shooting
The Vietnamese team including Lai Cong Minh, Phan Cong Minh, and Pham Quang Huy ranked third in the men's 10m air pistol team event.
However, in the individual event, only Pham Quang Huy entered the group of 8 athletes competing in the final. This shooter ranked fourth in the qualifying round.
Fencing
The Vietnamese team including Nguyen Van Quyet, Vu Thanh An, and Nguyen Xuan Loi lost to Uzbekistan in the qualifying match.
Today, the Vietnamese sports delegation has 51 more members arriving in China. The archery, volleyball, and sepak takraw teams are in Hangzhou to prepare for the competitions in the following days.
Meanwhile, fencing, judo, and eSports athletes returned home today after completing their missions.
