The image of a Ferrari 488 covered in dust in the basement of an apartment building in Hanoi was recently shared on social media, attracting the attention of the car enthusiast community. Based on the roof of the car, experts believe that this is a Spider (convertible) variant, which is quite rare in our country.

Below the post, many users expressed their sorrow when the owner had the heart to "abandon" such a supercar. Social network account Hong Hai shared: "Some people have more than they can eat, others have less." And nick Tran Thang expressed: "Who would treat it so badly? I'll take care of it for you."
According to the hunter community (a term for the community of people passionate about "hunting" supercars) in Vietnam, this Ferrari 488 Spider was spotted on the streets of Hanoi in February.
There is an opinion that this supercar has been abandoned ever since. Although it has only been abandoned for a few months, due to the high traffic volume of the apartment building basement, this 488 Spider quickly became covered in dust.
A source said that this Ferrari 488 Spider used to have a public license plate (CV), so it is possible that the license plate has expired and the car is no longer eligible for traffic (Photo: Dao Manh Cuong).
Ferrari 488 was once considered the "national supercar" because the number of cars imported to Vietnam reached more than 20, including the regular version and the enhanced Pista version. However, most of them were GTB (hardtop) variants, the Spider version (hardtop with open/closed) had only 3 cars imported into the country.
Apart from the red one in the article, the other two Spiders are blue and white. Of these, the blue one was imported the earliest, in 2016.
The selling price of this supercar in our country has not been revealed, but in 2016, the 488 Spider cost 270,000 USD in the international market (converted to about 6.5 billion VND, according to the conversion rate in 2016).
The Ferrari 488 Spider's roof can open/close in 14-16 seconds while the car is running, under 50km/h as recommended by the manufacturer (Photo: nweuro.com).
The Ferrari 488 Spider is equipped with a 3.9L mid-mounted twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch Getrag gearbox using F1 racing technology and rear-wheel drive, this machine produces a maximum capacity of 670 horsepower and a maximum torque of 760Nm.
According to the manufacturer's announcement, the Ferrari 488 Spider can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 325km/h.
