On January 14, a video clip was circulated on social media recording a scene where a man appeared to be drunk and was repeatedly asked by a traffic police officer to take a breathalyzer test, but the man refused to comply and begged for mercy.
In the clip, a traffic police officer on duty asked Mr. THH to show his driver’s license and cooperate with the alcohol test. Mr. H. covered his face with both hands and turned away, refusing to take the breathalyzer test multiple times.
"The 11th time I asked Mr. THH, an officer of Chau Phu district court, to check your alcohol level, did you comply?", the traffic police officer said in the clip.

Responding to the traffic police officer, Mr. H. replied: "Please save me, bro. It's too late, it's a violation."
Despite being asked to measure his alcohol level more than 15 times, Mr. H. still refused to comply. When the traffic police asked him to show his driver's license, Mr. H. replied: "I already showed you my Party card."
The traffic police officer emphasized and asked to show his driver's license, not his Party card, but Mr. H. continued to plead: "Please save me."
The video clip continues to spread and attract a lot of public attention.
Speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Toan, Chief of Chau Phu District Police, confirmed that the drunk man appearing in the above clip is not an officer of Chau Phu District Court.
"This person is not a court officer but wherever he goes he claims to be a court officer. The force on duty is the patrol force of An Giang province," informed Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Toan.
