After 15 days since the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved the auction results of Thuy Ta restaurant, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Ha Hoi city, the auction winner) has not paid the land rent and property on the land (more than 151 billion VND/10 years, paid in one lump sum).
The Lam Dong Province Property Auction Service Center said that it had just received information that Mr. Doan Hai Ha did not invest in the Thuy Ta restaurant land. The unit is waiting for instructions from the Provincial People's Committee on whether to organize other auctions or not.
According to the investigation, the reason why the winning bidder withdrew was because Mr. Hai had previously submitted a document requesting permission to change the name of Thuy Ta restaurant, but the local government did not agree.

Previously, Dan Tri newspaper reported that on October 30, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Hanoi) won the auction to rent the Thuy Ta restaurant area for 15.15 billion VND/year.
The starting price for this restaurant area is 3.04 billion VND/year. The additional amount due to the auction through 63 price steps is over 12 billion VND/year.
On November 8, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the auction results for leasing assets on land and annual land lease payments with Thuy Ta restaurant in Da Lat city.
According to regulations, the auction winner must pay a one-time fee for a 10-year lease term totaling VND151.5 billion. Thus, the daily rental price for this land is approximately VND41.6 million/day.
On real estate groups, most people say that this rental price is very high compared to the price in Da Lat in general and the whole country in particular.
