Baoquocte.vn. The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade opened the 2024 Fruit and Agricultural Products Week of provinces and cities on the evening of October 2 at Dong Da Cultural Park (Hanoi). The fair takes place from October 2-6.

The fair attracted over 50 units, enterprises, and cooperatives from Hanoi and 15 provinces such as Hung Yen, Son La, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, etc. to participate, with a scale of 70 booths.

The fair is an opportunity for units, businesses, and cooperatives to promote and connect to consume fruit products, seasonal agricultural products, regional specialties, One Commune One Product (OCOP) products, etc. to stimulate consumption, increase the city's total retail sales, and contribute to the successful implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said that this is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The fair also aims to stimulate domestic consumption, increase total retail sales of goods, and effectively implement activities to ensure supply and demand of goods, link and connect between Hanoi and other provinces and cities, contributing to introducing, promoting and connecting the consumption of OCOP products, fruits and agricultural products at harvest time, with large output, needing to be consumed in a short time in the Hanoi market.

At the same time, the fair helps consumers in the capital access and recognize product brands and clearly identify their origins to prioritize their choices and consumption.

In addition, with the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has deployed support for businesses and units of provinces and cities to participate in trade, connecting products with Hanoi and Hanoi with provinces and cities across the country such as Can Tho, Lam Dong, Tra Vinh...

At the same time, information and introduction of seasonal products, OCOP of over 20 provinces and cities have requested Hanoi to support consumption; organize fairs, fruit and agricultural product weeks in Hanoi; support Hanoi enterprises to participate in promoting products at fairs and exhibitions in provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Kon Tum...; connect sources of goods from Lam Dong, Dong Nai provinces... to promptly bring to Hanoi to ensure supply to cope with flooding after storm No. 3...

This contributes to affirming that the source of goods from provinces and cities to Hanoi is always diverse, abundant, ready to be brought to the capital market, serving the consumption needs of the city with a population of about 11 million people.

Units have determined that consumers in the capital prefer specialty products with clear origin, brand names, geographical indications, good quality, and are willing to accept higher prices than similar products on the market.

Therefore, the Fair is also an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to promote brand building, advertising and product introduction.
