Those are the sentiments of MSc. Le Hong Hieu - Deputy Director of the Institute of Engineering, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), one of 251 teachers nationwide who have just been awarded the title of Outstanding Teacher of 2024 by the Ministry of Education and Training in Hanoi.

Loving teaching and dreaming of standing on the podium since his student days, Mr. Hong Hieu has always kept the flame of enthusiasm and strived to improve his knowledge every day to realize his wish.

For him, "Teaching is a profession associated with love and passion for teaching and caring for students. Love for the profession is shown through the dedication, patience and sacrifice of the teacher for the students. To become a good teacher, one not only needs solid professional knowledge but also a heart that loves the profession, knows how to sympathize and understand students."
As a lecturer, participating in teaching at a young age, MSc. Le Hong Hieu said that encountering obstacles is inevitable. These challenges come not only from external issues but also from internal factors, such as lack of experience or confusion when facing new situations.
"The biggest motivation for me to overcome all difficulties is my passion for teaching and my belief in the value of education." He always believes that in addition to imparting knowledge to students to have a solid foundation, it is equally important to give them motivation and positive inspiration to continuously develop.
When we have a companion to support, guide, and create confidence in the goals ahead, we are always full of enthusiasm to commit and create success.
"Every time I see my students make great strides, achieving success in their studies and life, I feel proud and motivated to continue to dedicate myself to my profession.

Accompanying young people
Not only participating in management, connecting businesses, teaching students, he is also known as a teacher who accompanies young people in every national mechanical Olympic competition season.
Every time I guide students, it is an unforgettable memory for me. When reviewing and solving problems with them, the moment a student discovers a new approach leaves a strong impression.
He shared: "This memory makes me realize that in learning, cooperation and sharing ideas can create great power and ignite passion and aspiration towards bigger goals, overcoming personal limits to reach new horizons in knowledge and life."

For generations of talented and virtuous students, he always strives to be dedicated to his profession. And in the context of digital transformation today, he always struggles to find the best teaching direction for young people.
As a young lecturer in the field of technology and engineering, Mr. Hieu also often worries about applying science and technology to innovate teaching methods, bringing high efficiency to the new generation of students.
"The combination of technology, integrated learning methods, gamification, and online learning support tools not only makes lectures more lively but also helps students develop more comprehensively, access modern knowledge and develop necessary skills for future careers," he said.
Mr. Le Hong Hieu received a certificate of merit for guiding students to achieve high achievements in academic competitions in the 2021-2022 school year, had three research articles published in ISI Q1 journals, two articles in ISI Q2 journals, two articles in ISCOPUS-Q3 journals, two research articles published in other international journals, designed and manufactured an electro-pneumatic experimental model for teaching at the university...
