According to the investigation, T. is the stepchild of Mr. Pham Tien C. (52 years old), currently living with Mr. C.'s family in Quarter 3, An Phu Dong Ward, District 12. Because Mr. C. and his wife are busy working, since T.'s summer vacation (June until now), Mr. C. has left T. with a neighbor, Trang, to take care of and tutor him...

Trang confessed that because T. was disobedient and refused to study, she had beaten the child more than 10 times since then, but Trang could not remember the exact date. Three of the times Trang abused T. were witnessed by a little girl, T.'s older sister.

According to Trang, on those occasions, Trang forced T. to lie face down on the floor and used objects such as brooms, belts, bamboo chopsticks, etc. to hit his buttocks.

Regarding the incident that was discovered, Trang gave a detailed statement that at around 4:00 p.m. on August 23, Trang was tutoring T. with her homework but discovered that the boy refused to do his homework. In a fit of anger, Trang cursed and stripped T. of his clothes, dragged him out to the front of the house, and used an Internet cable to tie him to an electric pole.
