GĐXH - Having unstable angina and high blood pressure, the female patient went to the doctor and was suddenly diagnosed with coronary artery disease, requiring intervention.
According to information from Bai Chay Hospital, recently, the hospital's cardiologists performed coronary stent intervention at the branch lesion using the 2-stent technique using the mini Crush method for a female patient.
It is known that the patient is Ms. LTN (62 years old), residing in Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. The patient was hospitalized with left chest pain for 1 month. After being examined by doctors and doing paraclinical tests, she was diagnosed with: Unstable angina/high blood pressure.
The patient had a coronary angiogram, the results showed: Tight stenosis at the bifurcation of the anterior interventricular artery and the lateral branch. 1.
The intervention team is placing 02 drug-eluting stents using the mini crush method for the patient.
It was determined that this was a branching lesion with a fairly large side branch of 2.75mm in size, and the intervention needed to be optimized for both the side branch and the main branch. The intervention team led by Master - Doctor Dinh Danh Trinh, Deputy Head of Cardiology Department, and the team decided to perform the intervention by placing 02 drug-eluting stents in the anterior interventricular artery segment 1-2 and the side branch 1 using the mini crush method.
The results were fully optimized for both the main and side branches for the patient. After the intervention, the patient was awake, no longer had chest pain, and vital signs were stable.

Signs of coronary artery disease need to be examined early
Doctors recommend: Angina can be mild, transient and often occurs suddenly, making it difficult for patients to recognize. In addition, many people see signs of chest pain but often ignore it because they think this condition is not too serious. Therefore, if you often have chest pain, chest pain, you should go to a medical facility for examination and early treatment if the disease is detected.
Dr. Trinh said that currently, the Mini Crush technique is a difficult technique in coronary intervention, this technique uses 2 drug-eluting stents placed at the main and secondary branches. The advantage of the Mini Crush technique is that the narrowed lumen of both branches is optimally reopened, helping to reduce symptoms of chest pain and heart failure in patients with lesions at the coronary artery bifurcation.
According to Dr. Trinh, this technique was previously only used in upper-level hospitals. Recently, doctors from the hospital's Cardiology Department have developed and mastered this technique to optimally re-open blood vessels for patients.
