Speaking to a reporter from Quang Nam Newspaper, Ms. NTT, representing workers who were owed social insurance by Minh Hoang 2 Garment Company Limited, has seriously affected their rights. They have not yet been able to close their social insurance books, have not had their termination procedures resolved, and cannot apply for unemployment benefits. Therefore, they have decided to sue the company to protect their rights.

At the same time as filing the lawsuit, Ms. T. said that the workers whose rights were affected will register with citizens, hoping that the provincial leaders will step in to support the workers during this difficult time, helping them demand their legitimate rights.

As of this afternoon, April 10, the representative of the provincial Economic Zones & Industrial Parks Trade Union said that they have received 126 lawsuits against Minh Hoang 2 Garment Company Limited from employees who used to work at this company for the act of owing social insurance. The provincial Economic Zones & Industrial Parks Trade Union is guiding employees and union members to supplement the necessary documents to complete the lawsuit procedures.

Meanwhile, according to Mr. Nguyen Qui Quy - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, to protect the rights of workers, he tried every way to contact the leaders of Minh Hoang 2 Garment Company Limited but still received no response. Therefore, in addition to reporting the specific incident to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Home Affairs and a number of functional departments and branches of the province will send an official dispatch requesting to work with the person in charge of legal responsibility of Minh Hoang 2 Garment Company Limited at the company's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City to resolve the incident this week.

Mr. Quy said: "By all means, the Department of Home Affairs and the provincial authorities will protect the rights of workers. At the same time, the Department of Home Affairs will also connect to help workers find new jobs. Right in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, many businesses currently have a need to recruit workers, so priority will be given to introducing jobs to these workers. However, the benefits of social insurance for workers need to be resolved, and their social insurance books must be closed so that they can continue to participate in social insurance when working in a new place."
