Hoa Lu Beauty Contest honors the beauty of young women in the ancient capital

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, member of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, said: The 4th "Hoa Lu Beauty" Contest in 2024 was carefully prepared with rich, diverse activities of high cultural and artistic value. Districts, city youth unions, Departments of Culture and Information, Centers of Culture, Sports and Broadcasting of districts and cities have promoted propaganda, mobilized, and selected local young women to participate in the contest. Therefore, the Contest has attracted the participation of a large number of young women, creating a cultural event that is lively in content, attractive in form, ensuring practicality, safety and savings.

In the past time, to help the contestants practice and gradually get used to the activities and content of the contest, the Organizing Committee has supported and accompanied the contestants to help them gain more knowledge and skills, and convey messages about the culture, land and people of Ninh Binh in their performances on stage.

In addition, to encourage and motivate the contestants to participate in the Contest, the Organizing Committee of the Contest has decided to provide financial support for 18 contestants participating in the final round of the "Hoa Lu Beauty" Contest, each contestant is 2 million VND and provide additional financial support for the contestants in some contents such as: Makeup cost for contestants in the final round is 2 million VND/person; Contestants in the Top 10 are 5 million VND/person and contestants in the Top 5 are 10 million VND/person.

Launched in July 2024, the "Hoa Lu Beauty" contest has attracted a large number of female youth union members from districts and cities in the province to participate.

Not only contestants living and studying in Ninh Binh, the contest has attracted many contestants who are Ninh Binh citizens living and studying in provinces and cities across the country such as: contestant Nguyen Lan Anh, student of Dai Nam University, Hanoi; contestant Pham Thi Hong Nhung, student of Hanoi University of Architecture; contestant Le Doan Kieu Trinh, student of Hanoi National Economics University; contestant Nguyen Phan Dieu Linh, student of Hanoi University of Culture...

Right from the preliminary round, although it may be the first time stepping on stage in front of a large crowd, many contestants were confident and had good individual performances. This year, according to the Organizing Committee, the quality of the contestants was outstanding, the contestants were all between the ages of 18-20, had beautiful appearances, many contestants had ideal heights and impressive profiles.

Choreographer Huy Tran, the program director, said: Right from the stage of instructing the contestants to prepare for the preliminary round, I saw that the quality of the contestants was quite even, young in age, many of whom had just graduated from high school... This shows the enthusiasm of the youth when participating in the provincial beauty contest. With my responsibility, I supported the contestants in practicing, especially catwalking and performing on stage. For many young people, this is not an easy experience when they are first exposed to the stage in their lives, wearing evening gowns... Participating in the "Hoa Lu Beauty" contest, young people will have a beautiful and meaningful experience when participating in a major cultural event.

Immediately after passing the preliminary round, the 18 contestants had time to return to the common house to practice for the final round. Interestingly, during the preparation for the final night, many meaningful activities were carried out by the Organizing Committee of the Contest such as: Participating in charity activities at Nho Quan War Invalids Nursing Center; offering incense, taking photos in Ao Dai at famous scenic spots of Ninh Binh such as: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Monument, Trang An Eco-tourism Area, Hoa Lu Ancient Town...

Through the organized activities, the contestants had memorable experiences when expressing gratitude, sharing and connecting love with wounded and sick soldiers at Nho Quan War Invalids Nursing Center. Thereby, spreading the love and responsibility of youth to the community, enhancing the beauty of young women in the ancient capital.

In particular, the Ao Dai photo shoot at famous scenic spots of Ninh Binh is an opportunity for contestants to promote the province's famous relics and landscapes, especially the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - World Cultural and Natural Heritage to a large number of people and tourists inside and outside the province.

Ms. Vu Thi Ha, owner of the Ha Silk Ao Dai brand (Ninh Khanh ward, Ninh Binh city) - one of the sponsors of the Contest, said: This is the third time I have been honored to be invited by the Department of Culture and Sports to accompany the Contest. As a sponsor of traditional Ao Dai costumes for the contestants at the Contest, I have put a lot of my heart and soul into the Ao Dai collections brought to the Contest.

If the first time I joined the contest, I prepared a collection of ao dai with the theme of Ninh Binh landscape, Thai Binh Hung Bao coins; the second year was "Long Sang - national treasure", the beauty of young girls... then this year will be a collection with content about the legend of King Dinh and images of Ninh Binh tourism that are attracting domestic and foreign tourists such as: Hoa Lu ancient town, "Tam Coc yellow color"...

Right from the idea stage for the collection, my team and I wanted to spread the cultural value of the traditional ao dai of the nation. At the same time, through the ao dai designs, I also want to contribute to promoting and honoring the image of Ninh Binh land and people to the general public and tourists.

After 4 times of organization, the "Hoa Lu Beauty" Contest is a meaningful cultural event to arouse compassion, love for homeland and country, preserve and promote the traditional values of women in the ancient capital of the young generation.

The activities of the Contest have contributed to aesthetic education, affirming, honoring and enhancing the value of beauty in body, soul, talent and intelligence of young women in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization.

Through the Contest, we aim to promote and honor the image of Ninh Binh land and people, famous relics and landscapes of the province, especially Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - World Cultural and Natural Heritage to a large number of people and tourists at home and abroad.
