22-year-old beauty Xuan Hanh crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2023

The final round of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 took place in Da Lat City on the evening of December 31 with the competition of 38 contestants. As a result, Bui Thi Xuan Hanh (born 2001, Ninh Binh) was crowned the highest position.

The beauty received the crown and a prize worth 300 million VND, winning the right to compete in Miss Cosmo - Miss Universe International - held for the first time in Vietnam in 2024.

Xuan Hanh graduated from the National Economics University and was crowned runner-up of The Face Vietnam 2023. When entering the beauty pageant arena, Xuan Hanh was highly appreciated for her good performance skills and English advantage.

She has a sharp face, a hot body with measurements of 82-60-87cm and a height of 1.72m. Throughout the competition, she was among the top potential contestants, receiving the attention of the audience.

In the final, Xuan Hanh's catwalk and behavior were highly appreciated.

The runner-up is Hoang Thi Nhung (born 1997, Hanoi). She is 1.79m tall, with measurements of 86-62-98cm. In addition to the runner-up title, Hoang Thi Nhung also won the Ao Dai Beauty award, entering the top 6 Beach Beauty of this year's contest.

In the opening performance, the top 38 contestants performed with singer Vu Thao My to the theme song Made, not born. The lively, positive melody of the performance stirred up the atmosphere of the program, receiving applause from thousands of spectators.

In the swimsuit competition, the top 16 contestants performed in fur capes, showing off their strong bodies and demonstrating their maturity in performance skills with attractive poses.

For the evening gown competition, the top 10 girls chose mermaid dresses made of sparkling materials to show off their attractive figures.

Some opinions say that the catwalk ability of this year’s Miss Universe Vietnam contestants is not really impressive. The slippery stage floor also affects the contestants’ movement on the runway. Some girls staggered on high heels, and some contestants even tripped while walking the catwalk.

After the top 5 contestants competed in the behavioral round, the judges selected the top 2 finalists to enter the debate round.

According to the announced rules, the two contestants will not compete in a behavioral competition but will present their community project plans in 90 seconds, then ask each other questions and together express their views and perspectives on future plans.

In this round, Bui Xuan Hanh presented on a housing project for the homeless. Meanwhile, Hoang Thi Nhung presented on a community development project, helping orphans have a future.

The votes to choose the new beauty queen are decided by 60% from the jury and 40% from the audience voting portal.

In the final night, Miss Ngoc Chau also had a final walk - the moment of farewell to her term.

The beauty queen said that the title of Miss changed her life, helping her to mature and become more responsible. Since being crowned, Ngoc Chau has carried out many charity projects for women and children, calling for environmental protection and feels lucky and grateful to have contributed to the community and society.

Ngoc Chau also expressed her gratitude to her mother - the person who motivated her to try harder and return to when she was weak and tired. "My mother is the most special person to me," the beauty said.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 has a new international name: Miss Cosmo Vietnam. This year's contest started in August, with the theme "I am made", aiming to find a beautiful representative with a modern mindset and self-control.

The special feature of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 is that the contest only awards 2 main titles including Miss and Runner-up, there is no longer a top 3 like other contests.

The jury includes anthropometrician Le Diep Linh, MC - singer Quynh Hoa, director Kathy Uyen, model Vu Thu Phuong, Miss Huong Giang, H'Hen Nie, Khanh Van.

Singers Nhu Quynh, Thu Phuong, Huong Giang, Anh Tu and Vu Thao My are guest performers in the final night.

The final night was hosted by MC couple Duc Bao and Thanh Thanh Huyen. Runner-up Thao Nhi Le and Runner-up Thuy Tien also took on the role of backstage MCs, interacting with the contestants.

The red carpet started at 7pm, with the participation of many stars such as Miss Ngoc Chau, H'Hen Nie, Khanh Van, Vo Hoang Yen...
