Here, for the first time, a large-scale exhibition was held at a “check-in” location facing Hoan Kiem Lake, creating conditions for people and tourists to easily access special products of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
The exhibition includes 10 enlarged photos of the front pages of Nhan Dan Newspaper published on April 30 of the years 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020. The red headline announcing the victory next to the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, published on the front page of the May 1, 1975 issue, moved viewers.
The exhibition also recreated historical battles, starting from the Central Highlands Campaign with the peak of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army, General Vo Nguyen Giap said: "The day of complete victory on April 30, 1975 went down in history as an unparalleled strategic end. Our Fatherland was completely independent and unified." Viewers can also interact by scanning QR codes to view information about the battles via the website with new interactive graphics.
Notably, in the exhibition space, for the first time, 3D mapping technology was used to project the campaign vertically on Nhan Dan Newspaper. What is special is that readers can also project 3D Mapping at home according to instructions, to relive the historical moments of 50 years ago.

With images and modern experiential technology, students gain a deeper understanding of the country’s history, thereby helping them understand and love the history and traditions of their homeland.
At the exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, I saw many models and smart interactive products that made the students excited and enthusiastic. A lot of information about the historical milestone of April 30 was accessed by teachers and students at the exhibition. Before that, we had known the historical significance of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country from many sources, but today, through the exhibition of Nhan Dan Newspaper, we understood more clearly and thoroughly about this day.

“The materials that the exhibition brings are not only for teachers and students to use in a day, a semester or a school year, but also for teachers to review with their children every time there is an anniversary. In particular, the publications that Nhan Dan Newspaper sent will enrich our teaching materials. I believe that my students will remember historical knowledge longer through the experiences here,” said teacher Nguyen Thi Hai.
By chance, passing by the campus of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ry, a teacher at Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Hoi An, Quang Nam, was quite surprised by the exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of Nhan Dan Newspaper. In addition, the exhibition attracts young people because of its unique QR codes. Here, people can scan and access information. This will help young people understand more about history, which is especially meaningful in these historic April days.
“With my experience at the exhibition, I found it to be quite informative, with vivid images and a beautiful interface, reminiscent of the old days. I think this approach is very current, incorporating history, and suitable for the current period,” said Mr. Ngo Hoang Ry.
Present at the exhibition, Vu Ly Gia Linh, a student of class 4G, Trang An Primary School, said: “I feel very happy to participate in the experiences and learn more about the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day. In the exhibition, I really like the experience in the field tent, because there I can watch short films about history to better understand the meaning of April 30. I hope there will be more exhibitions like this so that we can have more access to the history of our country.”
