On the afternoon of August 23, information from the Forest Protection Department of Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province, the unit has just received a python voluntarily handed over by a local resident to release back into the natural forest environment.
The animal was discovered by Mr. Nguyen Ha Quang (residing in Hamlet 4, Dong Nai Commune, Bu Dang District) crawling on the corrugated iron roof of a nearby household, so he tried to capture it. Through research, Mr. Quang learned that the python is a rare wild animal, so he contacted the Bu Dang District Forest Protection Department to hand it over, hoping that the animal would return to its natural habitat.
After receiving it, the python was handed over to the Center for Propaganda, Tourism and Rescue Conservation of Bu Gia Map National Park for care and monitoring. When all conditions are met, it will be released back into the natural forest environment.
Python molurus is a python that belongs to the IIB group of endangered and rare forest animals.
