According to Tuoi Tre Online , along the central city routes from District 1, District 3... to District 10, Thu Duc City, many places are equipped with free ice water dispensers to provide water to people day and night.
Specifically, on streets such as Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Phung Khac Khoan (District 1), Thanh Thai (District 10), Kha Van Can, Pham Van Dong (Thu Duc City)..., there are all kinds of ice water dispensers and many pre-sanitized water glasses available for people to use.
At around 12 noon, Ms. Thanh (55 years old) poured freshly brewed tea into a free water bottle in front of the church gate on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1.
“For over a year, the people around here have taken turns doing this job. From morning to night, the water tank is never empty. People passing by stop by to drink water, we are very happy,” she shared.
The iced tea jug placed in front of Mac Ty Nho Church on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1, makes everyone who passes by happy and stop to “cool off”. Not only is the iced tea cool, but the top of this free iced water jug is also covered by a cool green squash trellis.
Mr. Tran Quoc Bao (45 years old, a motorbike taxi driver) said he often stops by and drinks water. For convenience, he brings a thermos to store extra water in case he gets thirsty while working.
Similarly, Ms. Trang Nguyen (42 years old, living in Thu Duc) also excitedly prepared a spiritual gift for herself and a cooling gift for passersby with a bottle of iced green tea placed in front of her house.
Ms. Trang said that every day she personally makes green tea, puts ice in a neat ice jar in front of the house to serve everyone during the current peak heat wave.
