Thuong Ha residents proactively hand over land for construction of Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500 kV transmission line project

The household of Mr. Ly Van Tiep and Ms. Dang Thi Xuan in village 3 Mai Dao, Thuong Ha commune, Bao Yen district has 350 ^m2 of land that must be cleared at 2 pole positions VT44 and VT46 of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project.

Ms. Xuan's family is exploiting cinnamon trees at the location of column VT46 to hand over the site to the construction unit.

After receiving compensation for site clearance and being propagandized and mobilized by district and commune officials, Ms. Xuan's family harvested trees to hand over the site to the construction unit at column VT44. At column VT46, the family is cutting trees, peeling bark and collecting branches and cinnamon leaves to hand over the clean site to the construction unit.

Mr. Ly Van Hao in village 3 Mai Dao has handed over the site to the construction unit to build the service road to the position of column VT46.

Like Mr. Tiep and Mrs. Xuan, at the location of VT46 column, Mr. Ly Van Hao's family, village 3 Mai Dao, is also cutting down trees and peeling cinnamon bark. Mr. Hao said that the family's area to be recovered at the foot of the column is 300 ^m2 , the route corridor is 5,000 ^m2 with about 3,700 cinnamon trees 15 years old. After receiving compensation, the family proactively exploited the cinnamon hill to hand over the site to the construction unit for the column location and the public road.

People of Thuong Ha commune voluntarily harvested crops to hand over the site to the construction unit.

According to statistics, the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project through Thuong Ha commune has 24 pole positions built (5 corner poles, 4 straight poles, 15 straight support poles) with 11.2 km of line. The land acquisition area is 3.27 hectares, the assets on the land belong to 31 households (29 Dao households, 2 Mong households). The restricted corridor area is about 32.5 hectares.

The project construction unit is digging the column foundation.

Up to now, households in the commune affected by the project have received full compensation and support funds and have agreed to proactively exploit crops, dismantle assets, trees, and crops to hand over the site to the investor to carry out the project.

The consensus of the people in site clearance will create favorable conditions for the construction unit to ensure progress and complete the project, for the common benefit of the community and the development of the country.
