On the evening of June 9th, information from the People's Committee of Chiềng Hắc commune, Mộc Châu district, Sơn La province indicated that local authorities had received a report from residents of Pả Phang 1 village about the sighting of two tigers in the forest area belonging to Pú Phang 1, Tát Ngoãng, Piêng villages…
To ensure the safety of residents and livestock, the People's Committee of Chiềng Hắc commune has directed the Management Boards of Tát Ngoãng, Pả Phang 1, Piềng Lản villages and neighboring villages where the two tigers reside to educate residents not to move, pass through, chase away, or use weapons that could affect the two tigers and hinder the monitoring work of the competent authorities.
People are being advised to move their livestock and poultry to safe places to avoid negative impacts from the two tigers that could cause damage to the community.
Upon receiving the information, residents immediately contacted the commune's People's Committee for coordination.
