According to information from the Quang Binh Province Hydrometeorological Station, from now until tomorrow (October 28), in Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts, rainfall will range from 100-150mm, with some places over 200mm. Bo Trach and Quang Trach districts, Ba Don town, and Dong Hoi city will have rainfall ranging from 120-220mm, with some places over 270mm.

In particular, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts have common rainfall of 150-250mm, in some places 350mm, with a risk of flooding at night.

Currently, the water level in Kien Giang river basin (Le Thuy district) is rising rapidly and is above alert level 2.

In the next 24 hours, the water level will rise rapidly and peak at level 3 above alert level. There is a risk of landslides in mountainous areas, riverbank landslides, and flooding in downstream areas and urban areas.

By 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (October 27), Le Thuy district had organized the evacuation of 73 households and 201 people in Kim Thuy, Thai Thuy, and Lam Thuy communes.

Meanwhile, in Kien Giang town, water began to flood into houses. People were rushing to move their belongings and livestock to Kien Giang bridge and evacuate to safe places.

This afternoon, while performing rescue work in the downstream area of ​​Thanh Son dam, Mr. Le Ngoc Hon (born 2002, residing in Thanh Son village, Thai Thuy commune) was swept away by the water.

Mr. Le Thuan Van, Chairman of Thai Thuy Commune People's Committee, said that Mr. Hon was swept away by the water while helping local people evacuate.
