A man in Ho Chi Minh City has just won the Jackpot prize worth nearly 153 billion VND. This is the biggest Jackpot prize ever in the Mega 6/45 lottery.
On February 11, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) awarded the Jackpot prize in the 1,310th drawing of Mega 6/45 product which took place on the evening of February 2 (the 5th day of Tet) to Mr. NVN with a prize value of nearly 153 billion VND.
Notably, Mr. N. is the recipient of the biggest Jackpot prize ever of the Mega 6/45 lottery after more than 8 years of this type of lottery being implemented in Vietnam.
In the previous history of winning the Mega 6/45 lottery, there was a Jackpot prize with a winning value of 159 billion VND. However, this Jackpot prize belonged to 2 lucky customers, so the prize value of each customer was only more than 79 billion VND.
Through checking the lottery business data system and the attached personal records, Vietlott determined that Mr. NVN was the winner of the Mega 6/45 lottery Jackpot with the winning amount of 152,678,407,000 VND (nearly 153 billion VND).
Mr. N. is a MobiFone subscriber who bought a ticket through Vietlott's phone distribution channel (Vietlott SMS support application) and registered his place of participation as Ho Chi Minh City. He currently lives and works as a freelancer in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. N. said that he has a habit of entertaining himself and wishing for luck with Vietlott lottery products. He revealed that the lucky number series that brought the Jackpot prize on the 5th day of Tet was the series of numbers he bought from previous periods but did not win.
According to Mr. N's wife, "I often said he was daydreaming when I saw him playing the lottery, but I only played for a few tens of thousands of dong each time so I didn't have any comments." Mr. N confided that he considered this a legal game of entertainment with prizes so he only spent a part of his income to buy lottery tickets every day.
When he heard the news of winning the prize, Mr. N. informed his wife, but she did not believe that he had won the Jackpot, thinking that he had only won a small prize. It was only when Vietlott announced that someone had won the Jackpot Mega 6/45 on the official fanpage that she believed that her husband had won the Jackpot.
Mr. N. plans to use part of the bonus to help relatives, part of the bonus to do charity work, and the rest will focus on developing the family business.
According to regulations, Mr. N. is obliged to pay personal income tax at the place of registration to participate in the prize, which is Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of nearly 15.3 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND) and will be deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
At the award ceremony, Mr. N. donated 2 billion VND to Tam Tai Viet Fund to implement social security programs.
