On January 18, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province decided to administratively sanction Mr. An Van Minh for using inland waterway vehicles to illegally exploit minerals (sand and gravel) on the Da River (Go Da area, Tinh Nhue commune, Thanh Son district).

The penalty decision stated that Mr. Minh committed administrative violations such as: Exploiting sand and gravel from rivers, streams, lakes, and estuaries without a mineral exploitation license from a competent state agency when the total volume of minerals exploited at the time of discovery of the violation was 50 m³ or more.

Specifically: Using inland waterway vehicle registration number HB-0602 to exploit sand from the Da River in Go Da area, Tinh Nhue commune, with an exploited volume of 131.07 m³; Receiving and using vehicles that do not meet operating conditions as prescribed; Using crew members working on vehicles without certificates of professional competence and professional certificates as prescribed; Putting converted vehicles into operation without being inspected as prescribed; Not drawing, painting, or attaching the vehicle's registration number.

The total amount Mr. An Van Minh must pay: 1,330,500,000 VND (One billion, three hundred thirty million, five hundred thousand VND).

In addition to the fine, Mr. An Van Minh is forced to return the 131.07 m³ of confiscated sand mentioned above to the Da River bed in Go Da area.
