Nui Thanh people agree to build rural roads

Tam Anh Bac Commune is one of the localities that has done well in the movement of building rural roads in Nui Thanh. This year, the commune has carried out the project of solidifying rural roads: the route from Mr. Vui's house - adjacent to Ben Tray bridge, with a total length of more than 1.4km, total cost of 7.9 billion VND.

Mr. Huynh Luong Trung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Anh Bac commune shared that determining site clearance is the key step in implementation, so the commune focuses on propaganda and mobilizing people to respond unanimously.

In implementing compensation work, localities ensure the legitimate rights and interests of people whose land is recovered, minimizing disputes and complaints among the people.

Mr. Ung Nho Phung - a resident of Duc Phu 1 village (Tam Anh Bac commune) shared: "Building rural roads is for our own families, villages, and children, so we are willing to donate land, structures, and contribute labor and money to build them."

In Tam Xuan 2 commune, many households donated thousands of square meters of land and hundreds of valuable architectural works, creating clean land and handing it over to contractors to build rural roads.

Over the past 4 years (2020 - 2024), Tam Xuan 2 commune has built new, upgraded and expanded 30 rural roads, with a total length of 17km. The total investment cost is more than 45 billion VND, of which the people's contribution from land and architectural works is estimated at 5 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Huong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Xuan 2 Commune said that the above results were the consensus and positive response of the people. The people have contributed greatly in spirit and material to have solid and clear traffic routes.

Along with Tam Xuan 2 and Tam Anh Bac communes, the movement to build rural roads has spread to many localities in Nui Thanh district with high consensus from the people.

Through implementation phases from 2021 - 2022, the entire district invested in consolidating road surfaces and works on rural traffic routes with a total investment of more than 24.4 billion VND; of which the provincial budget was more than 13.7 billion VND, the rest was the district budget.

Up to now, the construction works have basically been completed and legal procedures are being carried out to put them into use. In the third phase (2023), the entire district will invest in solidifying the road surface and works on rural traffic routes with a total investment of more than 71.8 billion VND...

According to Mr. Le Viet Nghia - Deputy Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Nui Thanh district, the movement to build rural roads has received high consensus from the people.

After nearly 5 years of implementation (2020 - 2024), up to now, the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district has basically completed Resolution No. 38/2020 of the Provincial People's Council on the project to solidify the district road system and rural traffic in the area.
