People contribute to building Phuoc Hau neighborhood cultural house

Head of Phuoc Hau Ward Tran Van Men said this is the ward headquarters built by the people's contributions.

To start the construction of the Phuoc Hau neighborhood cultural house, the neighborhood Party Committee, the neighborhood Front... together mobilized the people in the neighborhood to pay 70% of the cost, the remaining 30% was contributed by philanthropists. Head of Phuoc Hau neighborhood Tran Van Men thought of a way to mobilize philanthropists inside and outside the district, including Ho Chi Minh City. Seeing that Ms. Le Thi Van - former Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Charity Association regularly connected and helped the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Mo Cay Bac district, Mr. Men boldly met Ms. Le Thi Van to mobilize. Fortunately, Ms. Van agreed. Ms. Van supported the entire concrete road nearly 500m long, 2.5m wide, 14cm thick concrete with a total cost of 240 million VND. This nearly 500m long road connects DA03 road (the main road of Phuoc Hau neighborhood) with the bypass of Phuoc My Trung town. The current neighborhood cultural house is about 60m from the Phuoc My Trung town bypass. On the nearly 500m road, Ms. Van also mobilized benefactors to donate 2 concrete bridges worth about 60 million VND. “During the resistance war, Phuoc Hau people sacrificed a lot in terms of material and spiritual things. Today, Phuoc Hau neighborhood strives with Phuoc My Trung town to become a civilized urban area, so I am willing to contribute to the local socio -economic development,” Ms. Van said.

Head of Phuoc Hau Ward Tran Van Men said: “Today, April 25, 2025, we held the inauguration ceremony to put into use the Phuoc Hau Ward Cultural House and a nearly 500m long road on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The Phuoc Hau Ward Cultural House is located on an area of ^​​436m2 , with a usable area of ^​​147m2 , a level 4 house, with a toilet, flagpole, internal yard, and lighting system contributed by the people with a total value of nearly 290 million VND. On this occasion, we continue to mobilize people in the ward and benefactors to contribute to plastering the surrounding walls, installing ceiling panels, and painting the inside and outside.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Group 10 said: "Hearing the Head of Phuoc Hau Ward mobilize money to build a cultural house on public land, I was very happy, I paid immediately, only 300 thousand VND but our people have a cultural house for activities, meetings during the annual national solidarity festival".

Secretary of Phuoc Hau Ward Party Cell Tran Van Moi said: “I am very happy that the Party Cell found public land, 66 Party members enthusiastically contributed funds to build a cultural house. Each cadre and Party member in the Party Cell contributed 500,000 VND/person”. Party member Nguyen Van Y - Head of Group 8 shared: “I was very happy when I heard about the campaign to contribute funds to build a cultural house, so I immediately contributed 500,000 VND. Today, the cultural house was put into use right on the occasion of a major national holiday, which is very meaningful”.

Chairman of Mo Cay Bac District People's Committee Pham Thanh Truyen is very proud of the solidarity of the people in the process of building the Phuoc Hau neighborhood cultural house and constructing bridges and roads. This is a model that needs to be replicated, praised and rewarded for the solidarity of the people in Phuoc Hau neighborhood and philanthropists.
