In the hot season in Da Nang, the temperature continuously increases, leading to an increase in the demand for electricity for cooling in people's daily lives. One of the ways that people “whisper to each other” is to use energy-saving devices and prioritize smart technology. Many families in Da Nang have switched to using energy-saving LED lights instead of traditional lights. These LED lights not only consume less energy but are also highly durable, contributing to reducing costs during use.

In addition, many households choose to buy new or replace air conditioners and fans with energy-saving features, such as inverter air conditioners, air-conditioning fans, or air-cooling devices using new technology. These devices help reduce power consumption while still ensuring a cool, comfortable living space. In particular, applications on smartphones that connect to electrical devices in the home are also used by people to remotely adjust and monitor electricity usage, helping to save energy more effectively.

In addition to technological solutions, many households and businesses in Da Nang have installed and used solar energy to reduce their dependence on the national grid. With solar panels installed on the roof, people not only save on electricity costs but also contribute to environmental protection.

Mr. Ha (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) said: “After installing the solar power system, my family saved a fair amount of money on electricity bills every month. During the day, my family almost doesn’t have to use grid electricity but uses electricity entirely from solar energy.”

In addition to investing in energy-saving devices, Da Nang residents have also changed many daily habits to reduce electricity consumption. One of the simple but effective ways is to adjust the time of use of electrical appliances in the house, that is, switching to using electrical appliances at night or when the temperature drops to avoid using electricity during peak hours.

In addition, turning off electrical appliances when not in use is also a common habit. People no longer leave appliances such as air conditioners, fans, televisions or lights on when no one is in the room.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mo, living in Son Tra district (Da Nang city), shared: “Recently, my family has replaced all old light bulbs with energy-saving LED lights. Everyone agreed to use fans instead of air conditioners when the weather is not too hot, take advantage of natural light during the day, turn off electrical appliances when not in use, use washing machines and irons during off-peak hours to reduce electricity costs.”

In particular, PC Da Nang and authorities at all levels have actively organized campaigns to propagate and educate the community about saving electricity, supporting and advising people on how to use electricity safely and effectively.

It is forecasted that this year's hot season will pose many challenges for the Electricity industry in general and PC Da Nang in particular. However, with the cooperation of the government and people of Da Nang City in saving electricity, it will be an important solution to ensure electricity supply in the area. Saving electricity not only helps people control their monthly electricity bills but also creates a habit of green living, for the community, contributing to building Da Nang as a livable city.
