Talented people are given priority to rent official houses and arrange vacations with their families.

(NLDO)- According to Decree 179, talented people are given priority to rent public housing and get preferential loans to buy houses in installments.

The Government has issued Decree 179/2024 regulating policies to attract and employ talented people to work in agencies, organizations and units of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, effective from January 1, 2025.

The Ministry of Home Affairs provides information on the Decrees recently issued by the Government.

The Decree applies to the following subjects: Talented officials, civil servants, public employees, excellent graduates, talented young scientists and experts, managers, business administrators, leading scientists who are Vietnamese or foreigners.

The Decree clearly states the policy on vacation and other welfare regimes. Accordingly, a 7-day domestic vacation is arranged; experts, managers, business administrators, and leading scientists can travel with their families of no more than 5 people; talented officials, civil servants, and public employees can travel with their families of no more than 4 people.

"This is a new, outstanding policy, demonstrating concern for health, spirit and family - the most important and closest people" - the Ministry of Interior emphasized.

Along with that, salary increase before term, salary increase according to agreement (contract) if there are excellent achievements in performing tasks recognized by competent authorities or quality is classified as excellent task completion for 2 consecutive years from the date of recruitment decision, contract signing.

For leading experts and scientists, in addition to remuneration according to the signed labor contract, they can negotiate and enjoy bonuses and benefits from work results according to the agreement with the competent management agency.

Talented people are given priority to rent public housing or borrow money to buy houses in installments under the guarantee of agencies and organizations from the Social Policy Bank at preferential interest rates according to Government regulations; they are given the highest priority among the group of cadres, civil servants and public employees who are allowed to buy social housing according to the provisions of law. Talented people who have made important contributions to the country are arranged public housing according to regulations of competent authorities.

Regarding the budget for implementing the policy, the Decree clearly states that every year, the state budget allocates a budget equal to 10% of the total basic salary fund (excluding allowances ) for ministries, branches, and central agencies and equal to 5% of the total basic salary fund (excluding allowances) for localities to implement the policy of attracting and promoting talented people working in agencies, organizations, and units under their management.
