Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Branch of the Bank for Social Policies

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, born in 1964, is from Phu Thanh commune (Phu Tan district). After more than 20 years working in the banking sector, in 2003, Mr. Tuan transferred to the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and was appointed as Director of the Phu Tan District Transaction Office of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. In 2011, he was appointed as Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

In the early days of working in Phu Tan district, despite having previous experience in the banking sector, Mr. Tuan encountered many difficulties due to the lack of facilities and few staff, but he still upheld the spirit of responsibility, dedication, dynamism and creativity in his work, always being the "locomotive" to guide and lead the group to excellently complete the assigned tasks. At that time, Phu Tan district, with its characteristics of remote communes, had many difficulties in traffic, and the people were mainly farmers, so propaganda and lending work encountered many difficulties.

“To carry out my duties well, I have proactively coordinated with the People's Committee, socio-political organizations, and the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies at all levels to promote propaganda about policy credit programs and capital support for the poor and policy beneficiaries. With the slogan "Understanding the people's hearts, wholeheartedly serving, improving the effectiveness of sustainable development", I and credit officers regularly go to the grassroots to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people to build programs and plans to better meet and suit the people's borrowing needs" - Mr. Tuan shared.

After more than 8 years working in Phu Tan district, in 2011, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was trusted and appointed by the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Social Policy Bank of An Giang province until now. In his management work, whether working in Phu Tan district or at the branch, Mr. Tuan always complies with the Party's policies, the State's laws and regulations of the industry; closely follows the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's regulations to organize and implement programs and tasks to all officers and employees in the unit. With his professional understanding and dynamism, he has organized and implemented well the professional processes, researched, improved, and innovated the working style and manner in all departments; reduced paperwork but still ensured quality and efficiency in work, serving customers quickly and conveniently.

As Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan is always aware of the importance and understands the position and role of social policy credit in ensuring social security, political stability and socio-economic development in the locality. He always performs well the tasks assigned by the Director of the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to monitor and direct the following areas: Planning - credit operations of the entire branch; coordination with entrusted organizations and unions; training. Thereby, he actively contributes to expanding and effectively promoting social policy credit capital, especially in poor and disadvantaged areas...

With nearly 23 years of working in policy credit activities, Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Nguyen Anh Tuan, has initiatives and solutions to improve the credit quality of the unit more and more effectively, helping beneficiaries access policy credit sources. Typically, such as the initiative "Solutions to mobilize local budget capital through improving the quality of outstanding credit of entrusted budget capital" and "Advising on the transfer of local budget capital into the Resolution of the People's Council for annual stability until 2020". Along with completing his professional tasks well, Mr. Tuan always upholds the exemplary spirit in sharing and encouraging colleagues when facing difficulties, while actively responding to union activities, unions, and organizations; actively participating in social security movements launched by the locality and the industry.

Party Secretary and Director of the An Giang Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Tran The Loan, commented: “No matter what position he holds, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan is always enthusiastic, responsible, and devoted to the common work.
