This charity group was formed in 2012. Initially, it cooked meals twice a month to serve poor inpatients at Huong Son General Hospital.
From 2015 to now, the team cooks porridge 4 times/month, serving all patients being treated at this medical facility.
Delicious, nutritious bowls of porridge are delivered to the patients.
Ms. Tran Thi Ha said: “Our group has 50 members, operating voluntarily. To have a source of operating funds, each member of the group voluntarily contributes 100,000 VND per month. In addition, the group also mobilizes philanthropists, businesses, and donors to support more. From the funds we have, each month, we cook 4 times, each time cooking 3 pots of porridge of various types (about 300 bowls), worth 2 million VND/pot.”
Not only do they cook delicious pots of porridge to help patients have free meals, but the members of the team also serve wholeheartedly, always listen and share, so the people feel very warm.
