Mr. Pham Xuan Luc, Vice Chairman of the Thanh My Commune People's Committee, said: "By noon today, 20 households in the commune had to be evacuated due to severe flooding on September 26th. Now that the water has receded, we have mobilized forces to assist these households in cleaning their houses, sanitizing livestock pens, and bringing people and property back home."

Currently, roads and bridges are flooded, and the My Son bridge has suffered a pier collapse. We have erected barriers and are directing people to use alternative routes. Once the water recedes, we will quickly mobilize forces to address the problems as soon as possible.”

In Hanh Lam commune, the water is receding slowly in many areas. Large areas of crops and tea plantations have been severely flooded. The commune has formed teams to inspect the situation, assess the damage, and implement remedial measures.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hanh Lam commune, said: "For tea plantations in floodplains near the river, we have instructed households to wait for the water to recede before clearing the waterways and draining the water from the tea plants. For corn and cassava crops that are deeply submerged, we will assess the extent of the damage and find appropriate solutions once the water recedes."

"In the area, the Chuyen hamlet bridge and several inter-village roads are deeply flooded. The commune has put up warning signs and barriers, and deployed personnel to be on duty and guide people to avoid traveling through these areas."

In other localities, the continuous heavy rain over the past two days has caused flooding in many early winter crop areas. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, people have gone to the fields to drain the water and actively remove water from the crops. There have been some minor landslides on roads, and local authorities have mobilized forces to proactively address the issue.

Mr. Le Dinh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee, said: "Currently, the rain has stopped in Thanh Chuong district and the water is gradually receding. However, given the complex weather situation and the release of water from hydropower plants, the district requires localities to monitor weather developments and promptly inform the people; implement the 'four on-the-spot' measures effectively, especially strengthening control and inspection of residential areas near rivers, streams, and low-lying areas to have solutions for timely relocation in case of emergencies. In addition, we are urging people to absolutely refrain from fishing in rivers and streams when the water level is high to avoid unfortunate incidents."
