Tuoi Tre Online reporters rowed a boat into the deepest flooded areas on Chuong Duong Do Street (Hoan Kiem District) to capture images of many houses with roofs no longer visible because they were submerged in water.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc (43 years old, residing in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) said that he had time to move his assets out of the auto repair garage on the bank of the Red River (Chuong Duong ward, Hanoi).
"I didn't think the flood water would rise so quickly and so high. Luckily, the local government had mobilized me beforehand so I was able to move my belongings in the garage to a safe place in time," said Mr. Phuc.
