"Common house" of women's association members

Women's Union members of Hai Giang commune (Hai Hau) performed a folk dance to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025).

In order to attract and gather members, the Women's Union of Hai Hau district has directed the Women's Unions of communes and towns to diversify methods, improve the quality of Union activities; build many new models suitable to the needs and aspirations of women; take care of the material and spiritual life of members... Right from the beginning of the year, the Unions at all levels have developed a plan to implement the program "Improving the quality of organization and activities of grassroots Unions, diversifying forms of gathering women, promoting the ownership of members and women"; 100% of the Unions registered to build a strong and comprehensive branch, guiding 100% of the Unions to build models of "1+1", "3 have, 3 know". At the same time, effectively promote the model of "Accompanying to build strong branches" according to the motto "3 together" (listen to women, speak for women to understand and do for women to follow) to gather and attract members, focusing on gathering elderly women, young women, workers... to participate in movements and activities of the Association. The Association at all levels organizes many rich and practical activities such as: club activities, meetings, cultural and artistic exchanges, sports, seminars, forums, competitions, thematic talks, legal propaganda... On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025), 1985 years of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, 100% of communes and towns responded to the Ao Dai Week (from March 1 to 8), organizing celebrations associated with cultural and artistic exchanges, folk dancing, volleyball, democratic flower picking, cooking competitions; Organized a thematic communication on "Educating parents on child care and protection", prevention of social evils, population - family planning, health care for women and children. In commemoration of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024), 15 units organized celebrations, seminars and thematic talks, typically: Thinh Long Town Women's Union organized a celebration and contest "Women with the law"; Hai Giang Commune Women's Union organized a thematic talk on 4 Vietnamese family values; Hai Phu Commune Women's Union propagated environmental protection laws... On this occasion, the branches also combined to evaluate the model: "Building a family of 5 haves, 3 cleans", "Turning trash into money", performing arts, folk dance, volleyball, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

In order to diversify the activities of the Association and gather a large number of female members to participate in activities, the Women's Union at all levels in the district has also built many club models, associated women's groups, cooperatives... to meet the legitimate needs and aspirations of women, including: "Women's groups and groups saving to buy health insurance cards for family health"; "Female business owners" club; folk dance and volleyball club; "Women's Union of 5 no, 3 clean to build new rural areas"; service - livestock - aquaculture model in Hai Hung commune; aquaculture in the communes: Hai Giang, Yen Dinh town, Hai Dong, Hai Xuan, Thinh Long town... Up to now, the Women's Union at all levels in the district has maintained the activities of 328 folk dance and sports clubs, 230 volleyball clubs, 196 art clubs, attracting nearly 17 thousand members to participate...

Paying attention to improving the material and spiritual life of members, the Women's Union at all levels in the district also carries out many social security activities, supporting members to develop the economy, create jobs, and increase income. Specifically, the Union at all levels reviews the number of poor households, near-poor households, and poor households headed by women to develop assistance plans; regularly organize visits and encouragement. On the occasion of holidays and Tet, in 2024, the Women's Union at all levels in the district presented nearly 3,000 gifts to women members in difficult circumstances, poor children, the disadvantaged, new soldiers going to the army... Joining hands to support people affected by storm No. 3 Yagi, the Women's Union at all levels in the district coordinated with local departments, branches, and organizations to mobilize cadres, women members, and people to support with a total amount of over 3.4 billion VND. Responding to the "Godmother" program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the organization is sponsoring 92 orphans; of which, 47 children are sponsored by the District Women's Union in connection with collectives and individuals, 45 children are sponsored by the Women's Unions of communes and towns; Dinh Cu Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company continues to sponsor 21 children, with a support level of 500,000 VND/month/child. Women's Union members in the whole district also actively participate in supporting the "For Poor Women" Fund, the "Hoang Ngan Scholarship" Fund, building "Shelter of Love" houses... In 2024, the Union at all levels awarded 178 Hoang Ngan scholarships; deducted from the "For Poor Women" Fund to donate supplies, plants, and seedlings to 333 members in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 280 million VND.

To support members in economic development, the Women's Union at all levels actively exploits capital sources for members to borrow, encourages and motivates women to start businesses... The District Women's Union continues to coordinate with the Social Policy Bank in operating and managing loan capital. Up to now, the Women's Union at all levels in the district is receiving loan capital from the Social Policy Bank channel with outstanding loans of over 315 billion VND for 7,069 borrowing households. The District Women's Union coordinates with the District Social Policy Bank to organize training on entrustment skills in 2024 for chairmen of the Women's Unions of communes and towns that are receiving entrustment; develop inspection plans and deploy them to communes and towns. Through inspection, 100% of borrowing households use capital for the right purpose, pay principal and interest on time and participate in monthly savings. Implementing the Project "Supporting Women's Entrepreneurship" (Project 939), the Women's Union at all levels mobilized and supported women to start businesses, enhancing women's economic empowerment. Launching the competitions "Women's Entrepreneurship and Green Transformation", "Women Participating in Entrepreneurship in 2024" organized by the Central Union and the Provincial Women's Union. As a result, the whole district had 13 startup ideas participating in the competition, of which 1 idea won the consolation prize at the Northern region level; 7 ideas were commended by the Provincial Women's Union as "Outstanding Startup Ideas in 2024" at the event of Women's Entrepreneurship Day of the province...

Diversifying the forms of activities and gathering members, up to now, the Hai Hau District Women's Union has always been one of the "bright spots" in attracting women to participate in the Union's activities with a rate of over 88%. The Union is increasingly strong, operating professionally and effectively, truly a "common home" for female members.
