*Malaysia arrests nearly 300 illegal immigrants crossing the Thai border: Commander of the Malaysian Joint Task Force (GOF), Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid, said the GOF's Tenggara Brigade arrested 296 illegal immigrants from January to August 2024, including 226 men and 70 women.
