The list of artists considered for the title of People's Artist will be "extended" after the President reviews it in the second round. Therefore, artists whose names are not on the list of 77 artists awarded the title of People's Artist in June 2023 may be added in the next round.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, representative of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH,TT&DL) said that the work of considering and awarding the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist for the 10th time is carried out according to Decree No. 89/2014 and Decree No. 40/2021. If artists have a complaint, the Ministerial Council will resolve it quickly and transparently, avoiding injustice for artists.

Regarding the petition of Meritorious Artist Do Ky, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the Ministry has received the information, is reviewing the incident and will respond to the press in writing.

Previously, in July 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced 139 dossiers proposing the title of People's Artist and 348 dossiers proposing the title of Meritorious Artist for the 10th time submitted to the State Council.
