Speaking at the workshop, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong said: In recent times, Dien Bien province has coordinated with a number of experts, scientists from universities, scientific research organizations in the fields of culture, history, museums, architecture, construction; contacted foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam (such as the French Embassy in Hanoi), domestic and foreign organizations to collect information, documents, and materials related to the Temple of "Duc Thanh Tran" at Hill A1, Dien Bien Phu city, which was previously destroyed by the French army.
Initially, some images and documents with historical and cultural value related to the Temple have been collected. At this workshop, the province hopes to receive objective and scientific assessments of the history, architecture, and management of the relic, along with authentic evidence as a basis for research and proposals to restore the Temple at Hill A1 Relic; contributing to the restoration and addition of local historical and cultural works...
At the workshop, delegates listened to reports on the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the special national historical relic of Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and Hill A1 relic; some information on the history of formation and development of Dien Bien province, relics: Tham Pua Cave, Tham Khuong Cave, spiritual works of Hoang Cong Chat Temple, King Le Temple...
In addition, delegates listened to reports and presented a number of documents and materials related to the process of collecting information related to the Temple of "Saint Tran" at Hill A1 Relic. Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien collected 6 photos, learned some information related to the characters and events in the photos and some documents related to the Temple of Saint Tran at Hill A1 Relic.
In their speeches at the Workshop, experts, scientists and researchers said that the location of the Temple is not on the top of the hill but is likely to be on the right side of the road to the A1 Hill Relic today. At the same time, experts, scientists and researchers also agreed that the restoration of the Tran Dynasty Temple in Dien Bien is appropriate and in line with the trend of cultural development in the current context. Experts, scientists and researchers also proposed an architectural model of the Temple and a form of worship of Tran Dynasty in Dien Bien.
However, many delegates also said that it is necessary to supplement historical documents about the Tran Dynasty Temple at Hill A1 Relic, and to research and find more authentic evidence about the existence and location of the Temple. In addition, delegates also expressed the need to consider whether to restore the Tran Dynasty Temple at Hill A1 Relic or choose another more suitable location...
