From small actions
Immediately after receiving the plan from the Provincial Police, the subordinate units quickly deployed the mobilization of officers and soldiers to donate one day's salary. In just a short time, thousands of officers and soldiers voluntarily contributed with the spirit of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", together towards people living in temporary, dilapidated houses, especially in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas. Not only stopping at contributing cash, the grassroots police force - especially the police of communes, wards and towns - actively participated in the process of supporting the transportation of materials, dismantling old houses, leveling the ground, building foundations... to help households quickly have new, spacious and safe roofs before the storm season.

One of the touching stories that demonstrates the practical effectiveness of the movement is the case of Mr. Nguyen Van Sau, residing in Quarter 5, Phuoc Hoi Ward, La Gi Town. Mr. Sau has lived in a dilapidated house that has been seriously degraded for many years. It is swelteringly hot in the dry season, and leaks everywhere in the rainy season. Recently, due to poor health, Mr. Sau had to be hospitalized for a long time. During the days he was hospitalized, the ward People's Committee, along with the police force, the security force at the grassroots level, and local organizations, organized the demolition of the old house and the construction of a new one. The officers and soldiers took turns to help transport materials, mix mortar, and build the foundation - all with the desire to bring Mr. Sau a spacious and sturdy home so that he could rest assured during his treatment and recovery. Not only Mr. Sau's case, but also in Phuoc Hoi ward, there are 7 households living in temporary, dilapidated houses that have been supported by the ward People's Committee, the police force, union members, youth volunteers, and volunteers at the grassroots level with working days and many valuable items, contributing to helping people quickly have a solid house, as a premise for them to work with peace of mind and improve their lives.

Humanity in every brick
The movement “Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses” is not only a political task, but also a vivid demonstration of the quality of “serving the people” of the People’s Public Security force. Hundreds of houses have been, are being and will be built from that contribution – where there is sweat, effort and the sharing heart of the soldiers wearing green uniforms. In some places, to shorten the time, the police also directly coordinate with the local youth and militia to support housing construction projects on Saturdays and Sundays. The images of officers and soldiers carrying materials, mixing mortar, and holding trowels to build rows of bricks… have left a beautiful impression in the hearts of the people.
The movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" is spreading strongly, not only within the police force but also arousing the spirit of mutual love and support in the community. The exemplary role of the police force has created a positive effect, attracting the response of organizations, businesses, and people to join in contributing. In particular, through this activity, the image of the People's Police soldier is once again clearly portrayed: close, dedicated, ready to share difficulties with the people. This is also a clear demonstration of the effective implementation of emulation movements to study and follow the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh; building a "regular, elite, modern" police force, closely attached to the people.
With concrete and practical actions, the provincial police force has been writing beautiful pages about the love of compatriots and social responsibility. A day's salary, a brick, a handshake or a greeting... all have contributed to creating warm homes, a support for people to be more stable in life. That is the clear embodiment of the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" that the People's Police soldiers always keep in their hearts.
