Suspected mother jumped into canal with nearly 2-year-old son to commit suicide

Initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. the same day, local people discovered a motorbike and some documents left on the concrete road, near the main Phu Ninh canal, the section flowing through Tam Dan commune, Phu Ninh district.

Suspecting something was wrong, people organized a search under Phu Ninh canal and recovered the body of Ms. Bui Thi L (born in 1993, residing in Phu Thinh town, Phu Ninh district) and a nearly 2-year-old boy, Ms. L's son, in the border area between Tam Dan commune and Phu Thinh town.

Upon receiving the information, Tam Dan Commune Police urgently arrived to protect the scene, coordinated with the professional force of Quang Nam Provincial Police to collect information, conduct an examination to verify and clarify the incident.

Initially, it was suspected that due to personal problems, Ms. L. took her child and jumped into the main canal of Phu Ninh to commit suicide. The authorities are continuing to verify and clarify the incident.
