On the afternoon of October 29, information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police said that professional rescue forces had just rescued a Russian male tourist at a waterfall in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district.

At 2:30 p.m. the same day (October 29), Information Center 114 received a report from local people that a foreigner was trapped at a high waterfall in the Mo stream area.

This tourist went to explore the Mo stream area alone, while climbing up to explore the waterfall, he got stuck. Luckily, a local person discovered him and called the police.

Immediately, the 114 Information Center mobilized the Hoa Vang District Police to dispatch 1 rescue vehicle, at the same time the Lien Chieu District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police dispatched 2 rescue vehicles, and mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.

Rescue forces determined that after the male tourist climbed the waterfall and crawled into the rock cavity, a large stream of water poured down from upstream, blocking his path, so he could not get out as he had originally planned.

After approaching the Mo stream area, following the instructions of local people, the fire and rescue team determined that the male tourist was trapped in a rocky cavity in the middle of a precarious waterfall. Therefore, the professional rescue team had to travel more than 1 km through the forest to get closer to the scene.
