Vietnamese and international artists "open" cinema party in Hanoi

The opening ceremony of HANIFF 2024 gathered many artists and filmmakers from the country and from many countries and famous film industries around the world.

Attending the event were Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Dinh Thi Mai; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Head of the Steering Committee of HANIFF 2024; Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of HANIFF 2024 Vu Thu Ha, along with leaders of departments, ministries, branches, localities as well as a large audience in Hanoi.

Inspired by traditional folk art interwoven with modern architectural works that are symbols of Hanoi, the HANIFF 2024 Opening Ceremony is truly a brilliant celebration of cinema, with the appearance of many famous international and Vietnamese film artists.

The main image exudes a profound Asian spirit, both imbued with Vietnamese tradition and bearing the elegant, sophisticated aesthetic of Hanoi people.

In addition to meeting with film artists, the opening ceremony also brought the audience a special art program with the participation of many famous and beloved singers and artists, such as singers My Linh, Ha Le, Hien VK, My Anh, Pham Anh Duy, Lam Bao Ngoc...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee officially introduced the prestigious jury, with the following names: Producer William Pferiffer, Chairman of the Feature Film Jury; Short Film Jury chaired by director and actor Axel Ranisch. AFCNET Jury chaired by Korean film producer Lee Dong-ha. The members of the Jury are all prestigious artists and experts from major film industries around the world.

Vietnamese artists and filmmakers participating in the jury include actor and producer Hua Vi Van; DOP-Cameraman Nguyen Phan Linh Dan; director, actor, producer Vo Thanh Hoa.

This year's film festival continues to have a wide-ranging film screening program serving the audience at the National Cinema Center (87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh), BHD Pham Ngoc Thach (8th floor, Vincom Trade Center, No. 2 Pham Ngoc Thach, Dong Da), CGV Mipec Tower (229 Tay Son, Dong Da) and outdoor film screening programs, interacting with movie stars in many districts of Hanoi.

Along with public service activities, within the framework of the event, there are two professional seminars with the themes "Spotlight on German cinema" and "Development of film production exploiting historical themes and adapted from literary works", photo exhibition "Vietnam's heritages recognized by UNESCO - Experience through cinema footage"...
