Following the controversy surrounding the "money flowers" at a friend's party, artist Thuong Tin asserted that he had not lied about anything he said.
Speaking to the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, artist Thuong Tin said that at his age, he doesn't know when he will pass away, so there's no reason for him to say or do anything wrong.
He said, "I'm nearing the end of my life, and my only wish is for a peaceful old age. I don't know when I'll die. I don't want any regrets or commotion in my life anymore. I just want peace."
Speaking about the controversies surrounding him, artist Thuong Tin said he was devastated and exhausted by the unexpected troubles. He stated that at the moment, all he wants is a job to cover his personal expenses and provide for his young child. However, this does not mean he would disregard his pride or self-respect to do anything wrong.
"I'm really tired, and honestly, these controversies are gradually killing my morale. I'm also discouraged and no longer dare to think about doing shows," he expressed.

Not long ago, news that artist Thuong Tin was cheated out of money given to him by an event MC on stage caused a stir in public opinion. According to reports, at a party, Thuong Tin sang to entertain the audience and received some "flower money" from the audience.
After the show, musician Tô Hiếu stated that the aforementioned "flower money" had been taken back by the MC with the explanation: "These are flowers from the sound department and the band." However, the female MC spoke out, claiming that this was not the case.
Artist Thuong Tin said: "I gave her the money, and she said she would give me half, but I waited and waited and she never gave it back. I didn't accept it; if I had, I would have said so. I swear I didn't take that money."

He revealed that his only favorite food is bread and pennywort juice. Every day, Thuong Tin eats bread because, as he said, "bread has been my favorite food for decades; nothing compares to the finest delicacies."
