Da Nang's Tuy Loan rice paper making craft is a national intangible cultural heritage.

Tuy Loan rice paper craft village is located in Tuy Loan ancient village, Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city, which is about 500 years old. There are about 15 households here regularly producing rice paper. During holidays and Tet, there are 40 households making rice paper to sell to the market.

The Tuy Loan rice paper making profession of Da Nang becomes a national intangible cultural heritage.

Tuy Loan rice paper is usually made in large sizes, with diameters ranging from 30cm to 50cm. Tuy Loan rice paper is not dried in the sun but on a charcoal stove. The People's Committee of Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City has developed a project to restore the craft village, supporting people with preferential capital to produce rice paper. The Farmers' Association of Da Nang City always accompanies, connects consumption and promotes Tuy Loan rice paper products through fairs.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thiet - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Da Nang City said: "There are many craft villages in Da Nang City, but most of them are gradually fading away. The main activities are traditional craft villages, such as the rice paper craft village in Hoa Phong Commune. The policy is to direct districts, towns, and associations to advise the Party Committee and the government to restore traditional craft villages that depend on the market, gradually restoring traditional craft villages associated with eco-tourism . The Farmers' Association will organize many markets to introduce and consume OCOP products, especially supporting the promotion of product consumption".
