Nghe An receives 20 billion VND from BIDV Bank to support housing construction for poor households

On the afternoon of April 2, the Steering Committee of the Program to mobilize and support the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances (Steering Committee of Program 1838, Nghe An province) held a ceremony to receive financial support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Tran Minh Tinh - Director of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Nghe An Branch; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and members of the Program Steering Committee.

According to the report from the Steering Committee of Program 1838 of Nghe An province, the total need for support in building and repairing houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances in the period of 2023-2025 is 21,277 houses (14,752 new houses, 6,524 houses repaired); Of which: The Program to Support the Construction and Repair of Houses for People with Meritorious Services and Relatives of Martyrs (supporting houses for People with Meritorious Services): 3,692 houses (1,925 new houses, 1,767 houses repaired); The National Target Program 6,841 houses (4,131 new houses, 2,710 houses repaired); The Program to Support from Socialized Sources is 10,744 houses (8,696 new houses, 2,048 houses repaired).

As of March 27, 2025, the province has built and repaired 13,528 houses (10,576 newly built, 2,952 repaired). The total number of houses to be completed by August 31, 2025 is 7,749 houses (4,176 newly built, 3,573 repaired), including: Housing Support Program for People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution: 3,605 houses (1,899 newly built, 1,706 repaired); National Target Program: 1,917 houses (944 newly built, 973 repaired); Socialized Source Program: 2,227 houses (1,333 newly built, 894 repaired).

Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) registered with the Central Steering Committee to sponsor Nghe An province with a budget of 20 billion VND to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation received the symbolic plaque supporting funding for the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses presented by BIDV Bank, Nghe An branch; at the same time, sincerely thanked the hearts, attention and contributions of the enterprise that has always promoted the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, mutual support, and responsibility to the community, made many practical contributions, ensuring the social security work of the province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that all funds after being received will be managed and used effectively to support the construction of houses for poor households in the province, ensuring publicity, transparency, democracy, right purpose, right target, and right regulations./.
