* On March 2, at the Government Headquarters, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Government held a regular meeting in February 2024 to assess the socio-economic situation in February and the first two months of 2024; the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital; and the implementation of the 3 National Target Programs.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the ministries, branches and agencies for carefully preparing the report contents; acknowledged and agreed with the frank, responsible and practical opinions of the Government members and delegates attending the meeting to focus on drastically and effectively implementing key tasks, creating momentum for breakthrough development in 2024.The Prime Minister affirmed that in general, in the first two months of 2024, most sectors achieved better results than the same period in 2023, creating new momentum, motivation, spirit and inspiration for the entire political system, businesses and people to promote the completion of socio-economic development tasks in 2024 and the coming time.

* During the working program in the Western districts, on the morning of March 2, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De came to congratulate the people of Lau village, Chau Ly commune (Quy Hop) at the ceremony to announce the village meeting new rural standards.
Ban Lau has an area of about 227 hectares, with 72 households, 341 people and 3 ethnic groups Kinh, Thai, Tho living together, of which, Kinh ethnic group accounts for more than 95% of the population, mainly people from Nghi Thai commune (Nghi Loc) who came to build a new homeland.To achieve new rural standards, cadres and people of Lau village have promoted the strength of solidarity and internal strength in the community. In 2 years (2022-2023), Lau village people have contributed more than 600 million VND and more than 600 working days to concretize nearly 5 km of intra-village roads and nearly 3 km of intra-field ditches.
In 2023, the estimated average income per capita will reach 42.89 million VND/year. During the year, 4 households escaped poverty, and the current poverty rate of the village is 9.72%.

* For nearly a week now, in Nghe An, due to the influence of the cold air, the temperature has dropped sharply. * Today (March 2), more than 1,300 9th grade students participated in the Nghe An province's Excellent Student Selection Exam.
This year’s provincial 9th grade excellent student contest was held at Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City). There were 1,345 candidates participating in the contest, competing in 11 subjects and divided into 2 groups (group A and group B).Group A will include candidates in Vinh city, lowland and mountainous districts. Group B is for students in highland districts of Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son and Quy Chau.

* The 2024 Hang Bua Festival will take place over 3 days, from February 29 to March 2 in Bua village, Chau Tien commune, Quy Chau district (Nghe An). During the event, it is estimated that tens of thousands of visitors will come to the festival.
At the Festival, a female student from Vinh University won the first prize "Beauty of Bua Cave".
