Nghe An: Highlights on February 17

* On the morning of February 17, comrade Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister inspected the progress of the national key transport and energy project in Nghe An.

In the morning, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the Government delegation directly inspected the construction site of column 345 of the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project in Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district.

Recognizing the spirit of "only working, not retreating"; "overcoming the sun and overcoming the rain"; "eating quickly, sleeping urgently"; "working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts"; "working through holidays and Tet", the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the National Power Transmission Corporation, in addition to focusing on arranging the labor of the project implementation unit, needs to coordinate with local authorities to mobilize local labor to participate in simple tasks, thereby ensuring project progress and creating jobs for local people.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the delegation also inspected the progress of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway project, part of the Eastern North - South Expressway Project.

This is a highway project with a total length of 49.3km, starting at the intersection of National Highway 7 in Dien Chau district (Nghe An) and ending at the intersection with National Highway 8A in Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh). This highway is implemented in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) under a BOT contract with a total investment of 13,338 billion VND.

* In the afternoon of the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had a working session with leaders of three provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh on the implementation of key national projects.

The meeting focused mainly on two key national projects, including: the 500kV 3-circuit line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi and the North-South Eastern Expressway project, Dien Chau - Bai Vot section.

The 500kV 3-circuit line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi passes through 9 provinces: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen with a total length of about 519 km and a total investment of more than VND 22,356 billion. According to the Prime Minister's direction, by February 15, 2024, the provinces must hand over the land for 1,180/1,180 foundation locations. However, as of February 15, 2024, 64/1,180 foundation locations have not been handed over.

For Nghe An province, the North-South Expressway Project in the East, the Dien Chau - Bai Vot section through the province is 44.46km long. Currently, the Dien Chau - Bai Vot section through Nghe An province has been cleared 100%. However, there are still some problems and obstacles in the connection area at the intersection with National Highway 46B, the Rest Stop Operator in Hung Nguyen district.
