* On the morning of May 13, on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site and Chung Son Temple, Nam Dan district.
* On the morning of May 13, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council had a working session with Vinh City People's Committee according to the plan to supervise the implementation of socio-economic goals and targets in Resolution No. 18, dated December 13, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council on the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021 - 2025) of Nghe An province.
On the same day, the Thematic Supervision Delegation of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of the Provincial People's Council had a working session with departments and branches on the implementation of a number of targets associated with the goal of sustainable development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Nghe An province.
* On the afternoon of May 13, in Vinh city, Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the National Assembly Delegation of the province to organize a workshop to provide comments on 6 draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly.
* On the afternoon of May 13, in Quang Binh province, the Industry and Trade Conference of 6 North Central provinces in 2024 took place. Attending were comrade Do Thi Minh Tram - Deputy Director of the Department of Local Industry and Trade, Ministry of Industry and Trade; along with leaders of Quang Binh province and the Department of Industry and Trade of 6 North Central provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue.
* The Department of Education and Training has just compiled data on the number of 12th graders registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam. Accordingly, this year, the whole province has 37,044 candidates registered for the exam. Of which, more than 1,300 candidates are independent candidates.
* On the morning of May 13, Nghe An Provincial Women's Union organized the final round and awarded prizes for the 2024 "Excellent Reporter" Contest.
* Despite being mobilized and persuaded by local authorities, 8 households in Phuc Long hamlet, Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen) have not yet handed over the land to the investor to implement the VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park Project (VSIP Project). Therefore, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district has decided to establish a committee to enforce land recovery for households and individuals with permanent residence in Phuc Long hamlet, Hung Tay commune. At the same time, a plan for enforcement implementation has been issued so that relevant departments have a basis for implementation.
* Most of the forest fires in Nghe An in recent times were caused by people arbitrarily burning vegetation without informing the local authorities and forest rangers, causing the fire to spread. However, this situation has not been thoroughly handled.
* The first outbreak of Acacia moth in Nghe An was very difficult to control due to many reasons.
* On May 13, Dien Chau District Police announced that they had just arrested two suspects, Nguyen Van Kien and Nguyen Xuan Doan, for robbery; confiscated one phone and one motorbike.
