From November 29 to December 1, the 2024 Lotus Tourism and Cuisine Festival will take place in Vinh City, hosted by the Nghe An Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, in coordination with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Tourism Development Support Fund...

This event not only aims to honor the unique cultural and culinary values ​​of lotus but is also an important opportunity to promote regional connectivity, promote tourism, develop the local economy, and create a strong impression in the hearts of visitors.

The festival aims to spread the good values ​​of lotus cuisine and leave a mark on the Vietnamese culinary tourism map.

Deputy Head of the Department of Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center Duong Manh Hung said: "Organizing the event also aims to diversify and enrich the cultural and tourism events in 2024 of Nghe An province and the North Central region, thereby attracting domestic and foreign tourists. It is a stepping stone for domestic travel businesses to survey and connect tours and routes to the Central region and Nghe An..."

Highlights of this event include: conference “Developing Nghe An tourism products associated with the national tourism brand in linking the North Central tourism region”; culinary experience of many unique dishes made from lotus and local specialties; visiting booths displaying commercial products, OCOP, traditional products, specialties in and outside Nghe An province.

Participating in this event, there are 70 booths displaying and promoting unique products of provinces and cities, such as: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Hue... with impressive decoration space on Vinh City walking street.

It is known that in the first 11 months of 2024, the number of tourists coming to Nghe An reached 9,110,000, equal to 114% compared to the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 27,841 billion VND, of which tourism revenue is estimated at 10,865 billion VND.

Up to now, Nghe An has 928 accommodation establishments with 22,032 rooms, including 4 5-star hotels, 10 4-star hotels, 28 3-star hotels and nearly 16 1-2 star hotels, 2 restaurants meeting standards for serving tourists. The whole province of Nghe An has 69 travel companies and branches, of which 34 international companies and 3 branches, 32 domestic companies, and 30 tourist destinations recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.
