Silent Hill 2 release date suddenly leaked

According to Insider Gaming , the release date of the game Silent Hill 2 seems to have been leaked along with its price.

Specifically, a user on the gaming forum ResetEra discovered that the remake of the famous horror game will likely be released on September 29, 2023. This release date was revealed on the sales page of Australian retailer Gorilla Gaming, besides the game is expected to be sold for $89.

Last October, Sony officially revealed that Silent Hill 2 would be getting a remake. The new game is being created using the modern Unreal Engine 5. According to Sony: "It's been 21 years since Silent Hill 2 was released for PlayStation 2, and the leap in technology is allowing us to get even closer to a modern remake that still feels like the game it was in 2001."

Bloober Team recently said that development on their Silent Hill 2 remake is nearing completion. At launch, the game will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.

Alongside this epic remake, there are a number of other Silent Hill projects in development. These include Silent Hill Townfall (being developed at Scottish studio NoCode and to be published by Annapurna Interactive), Silent Hill F (an "all-new story set in 1960s Japan"), and Silent Hill: Ascension .
