On the evening of August 27, Mr. Ho Tan Minh - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - said that tomorrow, August 28, the officers of this department will provide detailed instructions on transferring schools to parents of students at the American International Primary - Secondary - High School (American International School), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
Specifically, school transfer guidance is carried out at two locations and times as follows:
Primary school students will be instructed at 2:00 p.m. on August 28 at the address: Trang Tan Khuong Primary School, No. 36 Nguyen Van Tao Street, Long Thoi Commune, Nha Be District.
Middle and high school students will be instructed at 2:00 p.m. at Long Thoi High School, 280 Nguyen Van Tao Street, Long Thoi Commune, Nha Be District.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, parents of all students at the American International School who are "stuck" at this school need to attend the full transfer orientation session to ensure the rights of their children.
When attending the transfer orientation session, parents need to bring their ID card.
According to the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, all students of the American International School currently need to transfer schools to ensure continuous learning. Because the American International School does not have the conditions to resume operations in time for the 2024-2025 school year.
Up to now, all public schools in Ho Chi Minh City in 21 districts, towns and Thu Duc City have been given an "open" mechanism to welcome students from the American International School to transfer schools.
Ensuring the rights of students at American International School
Previously, after many controversies, the American International School was asked to correct the reasons leading to the suspension, but the school did not provide sufficient supporting documents within the prescribed time.
However, during the suspension period, the American International School still has some activities to prepare for the new school year. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires the school to comply with current regulations and at the same time requires the school not to organize any educational activities during the suspension period.
